Northbrook based The Networking Group, as part of their pay it forward philosophy, invited a member of our JSM Leukemia Research chapter to speak at their March meeting about our efforts to eradicate Leukemia.
Dave Kaufman, a JSM Board member who attended the event and spoke, was amazed with the generosity of The Networking Group. “I was touched by not only The Networking Group’s generosity but by how many people had stories,” said Dave Kaufman. “Many people pulled me aside to comment on how their family or a friend was dealing with Leukemia or had lost a friend or family member to the disease. It truly is a cancer that knows no bounds. The Networking Group is made of up people who have compassion for the community in which they live and work. It’s organizations and people like this that are doing wonders.”
Dan Gelfond of Keepsake Family Tree Video and a member of The Networking Group, invited The JSM Chapter to the monthly meeting. Dan shares, “I have been involved with JSM for only a short period of time but I felt it was very important to introduce JSM to TNG which has been a great proponent of “paying it forward”. It’s a great feeling to give back in any way you can. We are all so busy trying to work and make our way that we sometimes forget that others need our help.”
A big thank you to The Networking Group! Now – you go pay it forward too.
